Subject: "Sensitive Spaces" bill passed committee
From: Colorado State Shooting Association

Earlier today, the deceptively named “Sensitive Spaces” bill, which would prohibit concealed carry in almost every public space, passed the Senate Judiciary Committee on a vote of 3-2.

Before passing it, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved two amendments that improved the bill, or at least made it less horrifically bad. While our team is still looking at the full impact of the amendments, it is clear that some of the worst parts of this bill were removed due to our members' pressure against this legislation and the threat of a legal challenge from our organization.

The Colorado State Shooting Association (the official state association of the NRA) will continue to fight this bill, as any infringement of the Second Amendment is not acceptable. The battle is far from over, but we have shown that through our members' efforts there is hope for gun rights in Colorado.

We need your support. We have an all-volunteer board of directors and every penny we raise goes to the fight.
