Last night Stephen Colbert read a small section of our statement about the Boulder Shooting. As someone who has survived a school shooting, I know the desire to grieve before comedians politicize a tragedy. Maybe decency, thoughtfulness, and facts have gone the way of humor for this late-night host as they are clearly no longer required or used for his show.
We know there are actions that each of us and our government can take to reduce these horrific events. They just happen to be the opposite of what liberals, like Stephen Colbert, think they are.
