An attack at the Timberview High School in Arlington, Texas left four people injured. The attack appeared to be different than the typical school shooting that gets news coverage in that it probably involved some type of gang activity. The attacker, Timothy George Simpkins, was later arrested by police.

As we have reported previously, with all the school shootings from 2000 through 2018, none of the shootings where anyone was attacked occurred in any of the schools in the 20 states that allowed teachers and staff to carry a concealed handgun. This attack was yet another that occurred in schools where teachers and staff were banned from carrying guns. This is from the school district handgun

Timberview High Schoolis in the Mansfield Independent School District. According to Mansfield Independent School District Auxiliary Handbook 2021-2022, employees, visitors, and students, including those with a license to carry a handgun, are prohibited from bringing firearms onto school premises.
