On January 13, 2022, the Senate Committee on Insurance, Licensing and Forestry passed Senate Bill 619, Wisconsin’s Constitutional Carry bill.

As a result of this vote, the bill can now be debate on the floor in the full Senate.

Like other constitutional carry bills filed nationwide, SB 619 allows lawful adults who are legally able to possess a firearm to carry a handgun for self-defense without having to beg the government for permission.
