Iowa Second Amendment Preservation Act Passed in Senate Subcommittee

When the federal government does not even bother to protect the Second Amendment let alone expand gun rights, state legislatures must pick up the slack.

One way pro-Second Amendment state legislatures can stand up for the Second Amendment is by nullifying federal gun control laws.

The Iowa General Assembly has gotten this message as it has moved forward with the Second Amendment Preservation Act. The passage of the bill in a three-member Senate subcommittee on January 19, 2022 represents a significant step towards Iowa mounting a solid form of resistance against the federal government.
