PUBLIC RANGES


Bayfield Lions Club
Managed by the Colorado Parks & Wildlife. Open to the public 9am to 8pm Daylight Savings time, 10am to 5pm Standard time, 7 days a week. Rifle and pistol to 15, 25, 50, 75 and 100 yards and a shotgun area. Bring your own thrower. Closed from the first Monday
in December to the last Saturday in March.

Camp Fickes Shooting Range
The Camp Fickes Shooting Range is located in the Pike National Forest near Lake Wellington, southeast of Bailey. It provides a long range for rifle with distances of 200,300 and 600 yards and a short range for rifle and handgun with distances of 7yds, 50ft., 25, 50 and 100 yards. Camp Fickes is the home of the Buffalo Creek Gun Club and is open to the public April through October from 9AM to 4PM on Saturday and Sunday. The fees are $15 per adult and $20 for a family (husband, wife & children under 18). To access the range on weekdays or other months of the year, special arrangements can be made by email requesting a specific date, the full names of everyone in your party and a good phone number.

PAWNEE SPORTSMENS CENTER

Description: Pawnee facility offers 27 point, covered, 25 - 250 yd. rifle range; 11 point, covered, 50 yd. pistol range; 10 station sporting clays course and clubhouse. Piney Valley Ranch
At our Shooting Sports Complex, we have: 12 station sporting clays course (last year under a different company, the course hosted the 2002 NSCA State Shoot) 5-Stand, and released bird hunts The complex is open to the public and memberships are available. Any person with a valid membership card for any Colorado shooting club or organization is entitled to discounts. Other activities on the ranch include: guided flyfishing, guided big gamehunts on both public and private land (we are enrolled in the CO Division of Wildlife's Ranching For Wildlife program), and a limited amount of other activities including photography trips, horseback riding, coyote hunting, and nature tours. All of these activities are available by reservation only.

WHAC - Wildlife Hunters Assoc of Colorado
"Just a bunch of Guys and Gals Having Fun Shooting" - A Private Gun Club and Range near DIA. MEMBERS ONLY. Ten miles east of I-76 on Bromley Lane. Eight point rifle range up to 300 yards from the same bench. Separate pistol range to 75 yards and a separate instructional range for pistols. There is also 600-yard black powder cannon range. Clay and archery shooting. Range hours are from 9am \'til as late as you like! The range also features NRA instructors and CCW classes. Fun shoots are held about every month, meetings are held bi-monthly. WHAC is a family shooting facility. Membership is $200 annually with a one time $75 registration fee.
